Description

Must be certified through National Registry at the level instructing and hold a valid Department of State Health Services Instructor Certification. Associates Degree preferred but not required

Registered Apprenticeship in which apprentices earn their EMT and Paramedic certifications. First 12 weeks is dedicated to EMT certification. Combination of online/classroom curriculum and clinical rotations. Upon earning EMT certification, apprentice begins paramedic portion of apprenticeship. Combination of online/classroom curriculum and On-the-Job Training. During OJT, apprentice is employed at an EMS organization (ambulance company, fire department, hospital, etc.) in their local area. OJT employer generally offers continued employment after program completion.
