American Welding Society Inspector
This Course Provides the study and hands on skills of welding metal. Relatedareas coveredare tools and equipment safety,Theory of the welding process, equipment set-up.A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Includes instruction in arc welding, resistance welding, brazing and soldering, cutting, high-energy beam welding and cutting, solid state welding, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, oxidation-reduction reactions, welding metallurgy, welding processes and heat treating, structural design, safety, and applicable codes and standards.
Student must have High School Diploma or Equivalent or actively pursuing High School Diploma or Indiana HSE 3G certification SMAW and/or can demoststate to welding instructor skill and abilities of 3G welder via weld test.
3 days prior to beginning of class.
