Instructor with 17+ years in the workforce welding industry and (AWS) American Welding Society certifications.
A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Develop entry level skills needed to obtain certification as a Structural Welder and Gas Metal Arc Welder. To produce high quality fillet and groove welds in all positions on various thickness metals up to 3/8” thick. Introduction welding symbols. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have passed at up to 15 tests as well as visual, guided bend tests. All AWS-Certifications will be proctored by a third party Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). Must have a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 16 to hold the class. Class will be held 4 nights a week for 3 hours each class. Program will last 6 weeks. Tuition includes supplies, tool kit, lab fees and certification cost.
A High School/HSE Diploma required or must be enrolled in an HSED program.
Steel toe or leather boots are required.
Two weeks prior to class start date.
