The Hospitality Administration program provides the skills to be successful in the hospitality industry, which is the largest private sector employer in the US. The Ivy Tech Community College Hospitality Administration program mission is to provide excellence in education to students with a professional, technical, transfer and lifelong education for successful hospitality careers, personal development and citizenship. The Hospitality Management Technical Certificate (TC) prepares students for the ServSafe© Food Manager certification as well as several ManageFirst© Professional certification exams:
Students gain hundreds of hours of valuable work experience and can go on to enter the workforce immediately or complete the associate degree in Hospitality Management. Please note: This technical certificate can be taken mostly online, with the exception of HOSP 102, Basic Food Theory and Skills (this is a kitchen lab class that requires the purchase of a uniform - around $133 - and a small knife kit - $138).
