Qualifications of Instructors:

A Nail Technician Instructor, must hold a Nail Tech (Manicuruist License or Cosmetology License) for 6 months while working in the industry and then has to enroll in a state certified Instructor program for 1,000 additional hours and pass an Instructors license examination through the state (PSI) to be eligable to teach this program.

Program Description:

Description of Course: A 600 hour study toward preparation to take a State Board examination to become a licensed Nail Technician in the State of Indiana. Measurable Performance Objectives: ? The student will have the education needed to be able to pass the State Board examination. ? The student will be able to obtain employment. ? The student will develop and demonstrate positive attitudes toward oneself, one’s clients, and one’s profession. ? Students will receive an education in both theory and practical experience. and gain knowledge in all phases of the Nail Technician field. ? To develop employer-employee relationships and effective communication skills.
