A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
The Department of Physical Therapy is dedicated to the development of an autonomous practitioner, motivated through faith, who can effect change in healthy outcomes for the individual, and the local, regional, national and global community through service, leadership, advocacy and exemplary, evidence-based clinical practice. As with all Health Sciences programs at IWU, the DPT program will be congruent with the Mission and Vision of the School of Health Science and Indiana Wesleyan University, “committed to developing compassionate graduates that are clinically, professionally, and culturally competent for careers in Public Health, Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and related health professions.” This program is not yet accredited. We are seeking accreditation from the Commission On Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
2 semesters with lab in anatamy/physiology, biology, chemistry, physics. One course in psychology, statitstics, and sociology.
The application cycle opens in July 1st and closes in December 15th. It is an annual cycle.
