• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Competency with basic algebra & geometry (right-triangle trig helpful)
• Prior completion of an OSHA-10 (General Industry) course – or – the college’s approved safety orientation
• Ability to read standard inch/metric rulers
• Familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, Allen keys)
• Basic PC navigation and file-management skills
Recommended (not mandatory): 6+ months shop, maker-space, or high-school machining experience
