Industry experience, NCCCO Certified Crane Operator, NCCCO Certified Rigger & Signalperson and Examiner, NCCCO Certified Crane Examiner.
The three-week training program utilizes a combination of classroom and field instruction to provide the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to obtain employment as a mobile hydraulic telescopic crane operator. Instruction includes Wire Rope, Load Dynamics, Basic Principles of Crane, Rigging Practices, Operating a Crane, Crane Safety and Emergeny Procedures and Hoisting Personnel. Successful completion of the program and written and practical exams will result in NCCCO Certification.
Employment as a certified crane operator requires an approved Department of Transportation physical. Certain health issues such as insulin dependent diabetes and epilepsy may be an issue.
PTS offers open enrollment. A new class starts every three weeks throughout the year.
