Forklift Operator Training

Applicability:
Applies to persons engaged in the design, maintenance, and use of fork trucks, tractors, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, and other specialized industrial trucks powered by electric motors or internal combustion engines.
Prerequisites:
MUST be 18 Years Old
Frequency and Duration:
This training program requires 4 - 5 hours to complete. Recertification required every 3 years
Purpose and Overview:
Safety Training Services, Inc. will conduct a training program, required by the OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Standard (29 CFR 1910.178[l]), to persons engaged in the operation and maintenance of fork trucks, tractors, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, and other specialized industrial trucks powered by electric motors or internal combustion engines. Operators will be trained in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks and in the performance of tasks such as the following:
Training Materials: Those attending this training program will receive a training manual and a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the session. Certification is good for 3 years from date of issue
MUST be at least 18 years of age to operate a forklift. Therefore students MUST be at least 18 years of age.
Registration for the course should be done at least a day or two prior to the start date of class.
