The South Bend & Vicinity Electrical Joint Apprenticeship And Training Committee will accept applications for the apprenticeship at any time online at

To meet the minimum qualification for apprenticeship, applicants must:
- Complete an application form, accurately responding to all questions and items.
- Meet the minimum requirement of 17 at the time of application (must provide a copy of your Birth Certificate or Government Issued Photo ID)
- Be at least a high school graduate, or have a GED, or in lieu of a high school diploma; have a two (2) year Associates Degree or higher.
- Show evidence (Official High school Transcripts) of successful completion of: one full credit of high school algebra with a passing grade of C or better, or one post high school algebra course (e.g. Adult Education, Continuing Education, Community College, etc.) with a passing grade of C or better, or provide evidence of having successfully completed the NJATC Online Tech Math Course. - Submit a DD-214 to verify military training and/or experience if they are a veteran.
- At the time of application, there is $25.00 application fee
- Pass drug screening and background check.
- Must pass with a qualifying score of “4” or better using the electrical industry’s aptitude test developed and validated by the American Institutes for Research
Applicants who meet all basic requirements will be interviewed by the Apprenticeship committee. Apprentices will be selected in order of their final ranking.
