Adjunct instructors need to have earned a Terminal Degree (PhD or EdD), or must have a Master’s Degree in any field and meet at least one of the following qualifications: 

• Experience: 7+ years of professional experience related to the discipline in which the candidate will teach, or

• Recognition: Regional or national recognition of field expertise as determined by awards, service on national or regional committees, work as a professional consultant, or publication of a discipline-specific textbook or book of academic scholarship, or

• Scholarship: A significant record of scholarly publishing and/or presentations.

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with an overall GPA of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale;
• Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regional accredited institution with an overall GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale, and five years of professional experience;
• Hold both a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution and proof of passing state approved content area assessment in the subject area
