Our manicurist program provides comprehensive training to prepare students for careers in nailcare and beauty, focusing on both technical skills and client-centered care. As a manicuring student, you can expect to learn:

  1. Nail Anatomy and Physiology: Understanding the structure of the nails, skin, and surrounding tissues is crucial for providing effective nail care services. Students learn about different nail types, common nail disorders, and how to assess the health of the nails and surrounding skin.

  2. Manicure and Pedicure Techniques: This includes nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, moisturization, and massage techniques for both hands and feet. Students learn how to perform basic and spa-level manicures and pedicures, taking into account the individual needs of clients.

  3. Nail Enhancement Services: Our program covers techniques for applying artificial nails, such as acrylics, gels, or fiberglass overlays. Students learn proper application, maintenance, and removal procedures for these enhancements.

  4. Nail Artistry: Nail art has become increasingly popular, and our school offers instruction in various nail art techniques, including freehand painting, stamping, embellishments, and using nail wraps or decals.

  5. Sanitation and Sterilization: Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment is essential in nail salons to prevent the spread of infections. Students learn about proper sanitation protocols for tools, implements, and workstations to ensure client safety.

  6. Client Consultation and Communication: Effective communication skills are important for understanding clients' preferences, addressing their concerns, and providing personalized nail care recommendations. Students learn how to conduct thorough consultations and establish rapport with clients.

  7. Health and Safety Regulations: Our program covers relevant health and safety regulations, including laws governing the use of chemicals in nail products, proper ventilation requirements, and worker safety guidelines.

  8. Business and Professional Skills: Many manicurists work in salons or spas, and some may choose to start their own nail businesses. Therefore, students receive training in business management, customer service, marketing, and other professional skills necessary for success in the industry.
