Wagler Education and Training Center is an adult education site approved by DWD. Wagler Education and Training Center is an accredited NCCER training site. The instructor is an NCCER accredited Instructor, Proctor, and Evaluator. Our NCCER Instructor is also a certified Indiana Teacher employed as building trades.
This course is 5 weeks in length meeting face-to-face Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening 4:30 - 8:30 PM for hands-on and proctored exams. This course required 10-12 hours of distance education with online modules through NCCER. This introductory course provides the basic skills needed to continue for certification in any NCCER craft. The program consists of lecture instruction, distance education, observation, and hands-on training. This course includes components in adult basic education, skills training, and career readiness. The NCCER Core Curriculum is a prerequisite to all other Level 1 craft curriculum. Modules covered are as follows:
Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be willing to work towards earning their diploma while enrolled. Students must be over the age of 18 and score a miminum of 519 in reading and 517 in math on the TABE assessment.
