Whitewater Adult Edcuation is staffed with licensed teachers who instruct and support adult learners. Connersville Fire Department will provide certified Fire 1 & 2 instructors for this program partnership.
Training to be a first responder is a great career choice for those who enjoy helping and providing service to others. In addition to the state required study and skills for Firefighter 1 & 2 certification, this course includes training and certification in hazardous materials operation, technical rescue awareness, auto extrication techniques, and firefighter safety and survival.
Students must be at least 18 years of age, have a clean background check, achieve a minimum score of 540 on TABE Level 12 Reading, and have a high school or HSE diploma
Classes will be offered Spring and Fall semesters beginning early 2025. Registration dates will be advertised through Whitewater Adult Education social media platforms and local media sources. Students will need to register prior to the start of classes to complete enrollment paperwork and pretesting requirements.
