The purpose of the training is to meet the growth needs of employers in southern Indiana with skilled employment opportunities of our adult education students. RVR, IKORCC (Indiana Kentucky Ohio Regional Carpenters Council) and Southeastern Career Center in Versailles, Indiana, all recognize the need for training opportunities to fill open employment positions. Working in partnership, RVR will prepare students in our adult education classroom by enrolling all students, assessing educational skill levels, offering remediation if needed, and providing work readiness skill training and career interest assessments to assist with training success. Southeastern Career Center will offer related classroom instruction and credentialing, and IKORCC will offer WBL and OJT opportunities for students. Students will end the program with 3 credentials; OSHA 10, WIN Essentials, and AWS FCAW Certification.
