Minimum Instructor Credentials – Advanced eClinical Training

At Advanced eClinical Training, instructional staff are held to rigorous standards to ensure high-quality, industry-aligned education across all programs. For the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) course and related healthcare offerings, instructors must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • National Certification in the subject area being taught (e.g., Certified Clinical Medical Assistant [CCMA] through the National Healthcareer Association, or equivalent)

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting

  • A postsecondary degree in a health sciences or related field (Associate’s or higher preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience in online or hybrid instruction, with a focus on student engagement and accessibility

  • Familiarity with industry-aligned curricula and best practices for preparing students for credentialing exams

All instructors are also vetted for:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to support adult learners

  • Cultural competency and experience working with diverse student populations

  • Commitment to ACT’s mission of expanding equitable access to allied health careers

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Program through Advanced eClinical Training is a fully online, self-paced program designed to equip learners with the essential clinical and administrative skills needed to excel in healthcare settings. The training covers key competencies such as patient care, medical terminology, phlebotomy, EKG administration, and electronic health record (EHR) management. Upon successful completion, graduates are prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) CCMA certification exam, enhancing their career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.
