This training course is based on the current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Task List. It is designed to meet the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB) 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. The RBT is a paraprofessional primarily responsible for directly implementing behavior analytic services under the close supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst or Assistant Analyst (BCBA/BCaBA). A BCBA teaches this course and introduces Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, such as ABA service delivery, behavior-change interventions, documentation, ethics, and professionalism. This course prepares students to pass the RBT Competency Assessment and Certification Exam, which needs to be scheduled through an application process once the student is hired or confirmed at their company to take it. Completing this 40-hour course does not make you a Registered Behavior Technician - but it a required step towards gaining your RBT certification.
