At least 3–5 years of industry experience in precision agriculture, CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture), farm automation, or agri-data management.

The Smart Farming & AI Specialist program is a hands-on, industry-driven training designed to prepare participants for in-demand roles in the rapidly evolving agricultural technology sector. Over six weeks, trainees gain practical knowledge and technical skills in precision agriculture, AI applications, IoT integration, and controlled environment agriculture (CEA).
Participants will learn to analyze farm data, operate smart sensors and drones, and apply artificial intelligence tools to improve crop yield, optimize resources, and drive sustainable practices. This program also introduces real-world case studies and live simulations, ensuring learners are ready to meet the demands of Indiana’s growing agri-tech workforce.
Graduates will be equipped with foundational knowledge and skills aligned with entry-level positions such as Smart Farm Technician, Precision Agriculture Assistant, or Data Support Specialist, with pathways to more advanced careers in farm automation, AI-driven analytics, and agri-operations management.
