LARA will be partnering with ASPIN, and serving as a pre-apprenticeship program. According to ASPIN, "all program faculty are required to have a current CHW (Community Health Workers) Certification through ASPIN in good standing. Good standing=up to date on CEUs (Continuing education units) and has not allowed Certification to lapse. Program Faculty have completed all current community health worker related modules and completed all tests with a passing grade. Program Faculty haveprior training experience,a Bachelor’s Degree orin lieu of degree, experience working as a CCHW, and experience working with the public in a helping role."The curriculum belongs to ASPIN and will be 100% online. Class will be conducted at LARA atleast 50% of the time, and our adult ed instructor holds CHW certification as well.
