The teacher is a trained machinist and has worked in construction for several years. He is near completion of his mechanical engineering degree, too. The admin is a licensed educator with nearly 20 years experience.
The course will give students the skills needed in the construction industry in various crafts and for supervisory roles. It covers topics such as safety, construction mathematics, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, rigging, communication skills, employability skills, and material handling.
Students must have a minimum 6th grade equivalency in reading and math to be successfull.
