Paramedic Certification/License
This course includes three components: a combination of online and live theory lecture; multiple laboratory sessions for students to practice topics learned in theory, and to obtain AHA BLS Certification; clinical and field internship, which consists of rotations in a hospital and on EMS units.
The student must be able to read and write in accordance with at least an 8th-grade level. Must be able to read, write and speak English at a conversational level, including the ability to learn medical terminology.
The school operates on a rolling admissions schedule. As such, EMT classes are scheduled around the needs of community partners and are offered throughout the year. Students must apply at least one month before the start date of their chosen class.
