This program prepares adult learners (18+) for entry into commercial driving careers through a direct pathway to the state-issued CDL Class A License, aligned to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements (49 CFR Part 380). The curriculum is delivered through a structured CDL Class A module sequence (Modules CDL-101–CDL-108), supplemented by Skilled US Essentials and Employability Soft Skills pre-training workshops, and individualized 1:1 coaching.

Classroom instruction is delivered Monday–Friday. Training covers DOT regulations, vehicle systems, pre-trip inspection, trip planning, backing maneuvers, and road testing preparation, alongside workplace professionalism and reliability skills. Weekly 1:1 coaching supplements instruction (2 hrs). With over 63,000 regional openings projected over five years and average salaries of $61,000+, this program offers strong and immediate employment outcomes. CDL knowledge test passage and skills test completion serve as the Measurable Skill Gain (MSG) indicators for WIOA Title II reporting.

Intake and skills assessment: Applicants must complete WorkKeys assessment (Applied Math, Workplace Documents) during the intake process. WorkKeys results are used to confirm basic skills readiness for clinical and laboratory documentation tasks, establish the AE literacy baseline required for Measurable Skill Gain reporting under WIOA Title II, and inform any additional academic support needs identified for 1:1 coaching. Level 3 is the minimum assessment requirement with a score of at least 73.

Completion of Pre-Training Workshops: Applicants must complete the 2-week Pre-Training Workshop sequence, Skilled US Essentials and Employability Soft Skills. These workshops cover orientation to the Skilled US mission, mindset and goal alignment, the W-Curve framework for navigating change, priority setting, stress management, conflict resolution, and foundational financial literacy, and serve as a required readiness gate before clinical instruction begins.

Open application.  There will be 8 cohort annually.
