Ivy Tech Faculty Standards for programs in Hospitality and Tourism:
Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, and
Completed academic preparation and/or work experience appropriate to the program being credentialed to teach for, and
Holds professional certification in the field.
ServSafe Certification is required.
This comprehensive, 8 hour course (which can run as a 1 day program or over 2 days) prepares participants to sit for the nationally recognized ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exam. Designed for kitchen managers, chefs, food service supervisors, and anyone responsible for food safety compliance, this class covers the essential knowledge needed to keep food safe and prevent foodborne illness in any food service environment.
