To teach and assess students for the SACA C-214: Smart Factory Systems 1 micro-credential, an instructor must earn a SACA Gold Certification for that specific credential. SACA requires instructors to hold Gold status so they are authorized to proctor both the written knowledge test and the hands-on performance assessments.
This course prepares students to install, operate, integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated manufacturing systems. Students progress from understanding individual devices to integrating multiple stations into a complete production system. Emphasis is placed on PLC communication, industrial networking, robot integration, motion control, material handling, and system-level troubleshooting.
