Students will also be trained in employability skills using the McGraw Hill Essential Skills for the Workplace series, as well as through WIN Essential Soft Skills, and Work One consultations and workshops. Students in the Certified Nursing Assistant program will acquire the following skills during their training, while will also be tested during the certification process: taking vital signs, blood pressure, pulse respiration, taking temperature, bathing, shaving, dental care, safe toileting, nail care, and post mortem care. Through on-the-job experience and the WIN Essential Soft Skills curriculum, students will also learn valuable employability skills such as:  on time arrival, good attendance, drug-free professional appearance, workforce preparation skills, developing good habits, thinking positively, building quality relationships, setting goals, resume writing, job applications, networking, and interviewing skills.
