MSHA Certified Instructor.
Each new miner will receive no less than 16 hours (3 days) of training with an additional 8 at the mine site and 24 hours of training for contractors as prescribed in the following: Statutory rights of miners and their representatives under the Act of 1977, self rescue and respiratory devices, transportation controls and communication systems, introduction to the work environment, escape and emergency evacuation plans, fire warning and firefighting, ground control, working in areas of high walls, water hazards, pits and spoil banks, health and safety aspects of the tasks to which the new miner will be assigned. Leads to MSHA certification.
