The accounting program at Ivy Tech is led by CPAs with nearly 30 years of practical accounting and tax experience. Students will have the opportunity to gain real-world accounting experience by participating with the VITA office, which is a student-led professional office that e-files federal and state tax returns for taxpayers free of charge. Students will also be able to get experience using the latest accounting software including QuickBooks and Sage 50, and we have partnerships with CPA firms across the state to give you even more exposure in the real-word. Graduates of the Accounting program are currently employed in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, professional tax preparers, and bookkeepers andcan also work in financial accounting and cost accounting. Students completing the Associate of Science degree are able to transfer to a four-year institution. Displayed pricing is based on full-time enrollment. Ivy Tech does not have a deadline for admission. Our 8-week class sessions start throughout the year—in January, March, June, August, and October—and there is no hard deadline for applying for any of the start dates. It's important, though, to apply early enough that you'll be able to complete all the degree planning, financial aid, and registration activities that need to happen before your first day. We recommend you apply about one month before you intend to start classes. See upcoming start dates >>
