Business Administration Program Standard: (Effective February, 2019)A qualified faculty member in Business Administration meets the program standard through one of four routes:1. Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or2. Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or3. Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:? Professional certification (national, regional or state) in business related field? Two years of in-field professional employment in business field? Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award? Documentation of research and publication in the field? Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military; or4. Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:? Professional certification (national, regional or state) in business related field? Two years of in-field professional employment in business related field? Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award? Documentation of research and publication in the field? Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.BUSN 201 Course Standard:1. Meets Business Administration program standard; or2. Possess an earned Juris Doctorate Degree.

The principles taught through the Ivy Tech Business Administration program are threaded in all industries including non-profit business and education.Students will be creating marketing plans, budgets, building personal websites, simulations, case-studies and creating community connections.The Business Administration program at Ivy Tech also partners with many local businesses to give students the experience and exposure in the business world that they will need to be successful. Displayed pricing is based on full-time enrollment.

The Business Administration Associate of Applied Science (AAS) allows for focused electives - 12 credit hours dedicated to a wide variety of business-related topics ranging from Microsoft Office Suite, Marketing, IT, Accounting, Visual Communications, and more. Because of difference in course related certifications and consumable fees, the total tuition price for a full time student will change depending on the elective choices the student makesThe Capstone course to this program of study includes the ETS Major Field Test, which is required for the accreditation of the Business Administration program.
