Holder of a relevant Industry Certification: Registered Nurse (RN)

Ivy Tech Faculty Standards for programs in Healthcare Specialist:

o Meets the full-time faculty discipline standard; or

o Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution; and

o Has a minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience; and

o Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients.

A valid RN license

The online course involves successful completion of 15 modules. All course requirements must be completed within 9 months (36 weeks) from the date the student is activated for the RN Refresher class in Canvas. Once a student has exceeded the 9-month timeframe to complete the course, Ivy Tech will remove the student from the session. Once a student is removed from the course, Ivy Tech will not assume any responsibility for keeping records of the student’s past progress. Students who do not complete their training within 9 months can register for another session, but subject to additional fees.
