Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed and in good standing in the State of Indiana. Has a minimum of two years of licensed nurse experience, one in the provision of long term care services. Has completed a course in teaching adults.
This course prepares individuals to provide quality care to residents or patients in nursing homes and hospital environments. It centers on helping students to learn the right way to perform routine nursing-related services while working as a team to acheive and maintain the best care and quality of life for those they are entrusted to care for. All classes are taught using the ISDH standards in place.
Students must meet the following minimal requirements: 1. Be able to add and subtract simple equations. 2. Be able to speak, read, and write English. 3. It is encouraged, but not mandated, that the student has a high school diploma, or equivelent.
Open - Classes are offered on a monthly basis. Due to current State Mandated Covid rules and regulations in place at nursing homes, clinical portion of course is on hold. As soon as facilities are allowed to hold educational / clinical training, we will resume full program.
