Instructors will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a computer related field, and or 5 plus years of experience using and teaching Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

They will build expertise in the following Microsoft programs: Word (word processing and document creation), PowerPoint (presentation creation), Excel (spreadsheet creation), Access (relational database management), and Outlook (email and task management).
The hands-on exercises, in-depth course material, and supplemental video demonstrations prepare students for the latest Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification examinations. This certification (offered by a third-party) validates Microsoft Office program proficiency, demonstrating one can meet globally recognized performance standards. The MOS is ideal for those considering a career in Office Administration, Operational Support, or anyone looking to increase their current skillset.
All applicants must supply proof of a high school diploma, its equivalent, or the proven ability-to-benefit, by obtaining a minimum acceptable Scale Score (SS) on an assessment test administered by Tough Start Incorporated through its Literacy Initiative to Further Education (LIFE) program.
The application deadline is two (2) business days prior to the start of each 10-week program session.
