The Paramedic Science Technical Certificate (TC) program prepares you for work as a Paramedic. You'll learn through a mix of classroom lectures and field experience. Students graduate with the skills needed to succeed as Paramedics.

This program is physically and mentally demanding but can be highly rewarding for the student who is passionate about becoming a Paramedic. This program goes beyond textbooks as students receive training from highly skilled professionals who are still active in the field. You'll receive a careful mix of lectures, demonstrations, in-class skill practice sessions, and clinical rotations.

Here’s what you’ll do in classes:

  • Learn from some of the state’s finest paramedics.
  • Intern in patient care settings and complete 400 hours of hands-on work experience.
  • Learn on-the-job skills through 360 hours of clinical experience.
  • Study key subject matter such as trauma, cardiology, pre-hospital pharmacology, air medical, ambulance operation, and more.

This is a selective admissions program, which means that we can only accept a small number of students each year. This allows us to keep our classes small, ensuring students receive the best training possible.

It's important, though, to apply early enough that you'll be able to complete all the degree planning, financial aid, and registration activities that need to happen before your first day. We recommend you apply about one month before you intend to start classes. See upcoming start dates >>
