Qualifications of Instructors:

Microsoft Office Specialist teacher Karen Arndt holds a current teaching license in Accounting, Clerical, Vocational Business and Data Processing, as well as a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. Karen has been teaching both children and adults for over 30 years.

Program Description:

Microsoft Word is a critical productivity tool for both business and personal use. This program will prepare individuals to create and edit simple documents that can be easily shared and collaborated. Additional skills will include adding tables and and lists; adding design elements and layout options; and proofing documents.

Prerequisites Description:

The only academic requirements are a TABE Reading level of 8th grade or above or a TABE CLAS-E level of 3 or above. In addition, students must have accumulated 12 hours of adult education time.
