Patient Care Assistants or Certified Healthcare Access Associates perform a number of taks, such as taking vital signs, assisting in daily living activities, observing patients and charting changes in their health or behavor. Thisprogram prepares individuals to perform the duties of special assistants. Includes instruction in business and medical communications, medical terminology, principles of health care operations, public relations. this coursework provides the clinical, behavioral, social and ethical training required to work in the healthcare field whether its a nursing home, clinic or other health care settings. Students will also be enrolled in the WIN career readiness program for softskills and employability development.
