The Healthcare Patient Access and Registration Professional/Hospital Registration Clerk course prepares students to work in patient access and registration positions in healthcare facilities such as hospitals and health systems, physicians offices, clinics, long-term care facilities, surgery centers, ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation centers, and other types of healthcare areas. Students learn the important aspects, legal issues, quality control assessment and improvement strategies, and typical policies and procedures related to patient scheduling, registration, admissions, patient finance, guest relations, and the numerous related services.
High school diploma, GED, HSE or student in process of earning high school diploma, GED, or HSE. Must have completed credential prior to national exam date.
One week prior to class start.
