Our instructors are experienced dental assistants with at least 5 years of dental assisting experience. They also must hold a valid Indiana Dental Radiographer License.
Our accelerated course is 15 weeks long, two days per week. There are 240 hours of combined lab and lecture time. Lab takes up at least 60% of the program, so students will have plenty of hands-on experience before they graduate. Training is provided in a real, working dental office. We want to ensure that our graduates will be an asset to any dental office. We focus on teaching our students not only how to be a great dental assistant, but also how to be a great candidate for the jobs that they apply to.? Each student must attend 100 hours of externship at a general office and 24 hours in a specialty office. We pre-screen the externship sites to ensure that the doctors and staff will act as good stewards of the student's education. Upon successful graduation from our program students will receive a certificate of completion in Dental Assisting and Radiology. They will be prepared to take the RHS/ICE tests through DANB. Completing our course and successfully passing the RHS portion of the exam will allow them to apply for their Indiana Dental Radiology License.
