We test each applicant on basic computer skills, essay writing skills, and interview them. We make sure they know that they will be handling bodily fluids and needles and will be practicing vitals, phlebotomy, suture removal, and ECG lead placements on fellow classmates. We require the applicants to do job shadowing prior to the start of the program so they can observe typical daily tasks a medical assistant performs.

Our preference is for all application materials to be turned in at least two weeks prior to the start of classes.
