Recovery Support Ethics is a two-day, interactive discussion around the ethical domains and criteria that recovery support professionals should follow to maximize outcomes for the populations the recovery support professional serves. All participants will learn more about how to maintain ethical standards around the digital media age, boundary management, self-disclosure, self-care, and several other aspects related to recovery support. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to maintain appropriate recovery support ethical standards in the services the recovery support professional provides.

It is encouraged participants attend the MHAI SWD Training Institue Recovery Support fundamentals course (or CCAR Recovery Caoch Academy if completed prior to July 1st, 2024) prior to this training yet it is not required. There are pre-requisites to obtain the Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC) or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) credential that this educational training isa requriement of, that includes a high school diploma or equivalent state certificate. Note: the CAPRC credential is for persons in PERSONAL recovery from substance use, mental illness or co-occurring disorders.

The CARC is for persons NOT in personal recovery (family memerbs, loved ones, allies etc.)
