Description

All courses within PMA's online training were written by professionals with10-30 years experience in the discussed fields. Many subject matter experts are PMA member companies, degreed professionals, company owners, operations directors, machine operators, human resources professionals and more. Many have NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills Standards) certifications.

Part 1: Removal and Installation of the Die (14.4 hours) This training introduces different types of clamping systems, die assembly removal and installation processes, how to determine and properly set press shut height, and how to set and adjust common types of straighteners and uncoiling equipment. Part 2: Feeding and Straightening the Coils (14.4 hours) This training introduces air operated slide feeds, grip feeds, servo roll feeds, and mechanical roll feeds. It also addresses how to thread the die, prepare the press for production and how to make the first hit. There is an estimated 30 hours of training in both parts, including supplemental, but strongly suggested,courses.
