The program faculty hold either D.A./E.F.D.A. certificates with multiple years of experience or are D.D.S. (dentists) with multiple years of experience as well.
The 6 week expanded function program is the next step for dental assistants to take after completing their dental assisting certificate. This program builds on the previously learned knowledge by primarily adding restorations & fillings to the skillset of the dental assistant. E.F.D.A. students also further learn how to take impressions, apply sealants as well refresh their previously learned D.A. knowledge.
Any interested student must provide a copy of their most recent dental assisting certificate alongside a copy of their high school diploma/ G.E.D. Interested students must also be able to provide updated vaccination records as well a U.S. government issued I.D.
The application deadline is 1 day prior to the start of class. For example, if class starts on May 17th, then the deadline for applying would be May 16th.
