The student taking this course will gain knowledge in basic anatomy and physiology of the heart and circulatory system. The student will also learn cardiopulmonary circulation, coronary blood supply, and the electrical basis of electro cardiology. The student will learn cardio medications and treatments. The student will become proficient with EKG techniques and interpretations in addition will learn placements of leads for a holter monitor, stress testing along with contraindications. Upon completion of the course the student will be qualified to take the NHA and be able to sit for the CCI certification exam.
