Program Description:

Mix of on the job training as well as electrical theory focused on telecommunications, which is rapidly expanding to include internet of things and other means of connectivity that also interact with power systems. Training includes project planning and layout, underground installations, routing cables, testing/certifying/ troubleshooting LAN systems, secuirity system installations, installing communication and sound systems, installing and networking telecommunications wires and cables, terminating wires and cables, spliciung wires and cables, service and troubleshooting, material handling and pre-fabrication, as well as safety awarness and other specialized areas.

Program Prerequisite:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Prerequisites Description:

Complete application fully and provide drivers license (ID) and official transcripts within 30 days of beggining application.

1 full credit of Algebra 1 or higher, official transcripts to prove algebra credit as well as proof of high school diploma. Official high school transcripts needed even if GED was obtained to prove algebra credit. Will need GED certificate and GED scores as well.

17 to apply, 18 by time of indenture.

Pass aptitude test unless can prove more than 2,000 hours of industry experience.

Pass preemployment drug screen and physical.

Pass aptitude test with qualifying score (Reading comprehension and algebra)

Application Deadlines:

Year round application, completed application needs to be done at least 30 days before aptitude test to get enrolled for the test.

In person on Tuesdays from 9-1130 am and 1-4 pm.

Online can be completed at any time.
