During this course the student will develop knowledge and skills needed for the first level of emergency medical provider able to provide emergency care in the patient compartment of an ambulance. Knowledge and skills will allow the student to effectively provide emergency medical care for cardiac, respiratory, diabetic, and allergic reaction emergencies’ as well as other medical care. They will learn to control major bleeding and stabilize injuries for emergency transport to definitive care. Professional Employability skills will also be developed throughout the course.
