EDUCATION: Minimum of an A.S. degree related to Advanced Manufacturing preferred or, three to five years of work experience in the Advanced Manufacturing environment.EXPERIENCE: Experience with automation and technology used in manufacturing is required. Must be proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Course Credential Standard: Credentials other than the program/discipline standard that may appropriately qualify one to teach a specific course. Examples might include a licensure, certification, specialty coursework, etc. specific to the single course. Professional Certification: A certificate by an external state, regional, national, or international agency that attests to significant breadth and depth of knowledge within a field of study.

Catapult Indiana is a training that focuses on the entry-level skills and competencies required for a career in advanced manufacturing. The program consists of 160 hours of classroom instruction covering relevant theory, hands-on training with tools and equipment, and simulations. This advanced manufacturing standardized work training covers nine primary topics with equal focus on theory and lab/simulation in production fundamentals. Training includes Pre and Post-test evaluations conducted during class sessions with a 70% pass rate needed for a certificate of completion. Upon successful completion of the training, participants are eligible for academic crosswalks into INDT 106 and ADMF 201, for 6 college credits upon registration for a degree program with Ivy Tech. Participants are paid for their time spent in classroom-based training for the 160 hours of training at $10.00 per hour, subsidized by local companies with the commitment of an internship. Note: Instruction occurs at the C-4 Building located at 2820 N. Meridian St. in Indianapolis, which is just across the parking lot from the main NMC building of the Indianapolis campus. Note:Students must be admitted as degree-seeking at Ivy Tech Community College to receive credit for prior learning; meaning, they earn the industry recognized certification in the non-credit training and can request academic credit once they are admitted as a degree seeking student.
