American Welding Society Certification.Course Credential Standard: Credentials other than the program/discipline standard that may appropriately qualify one to teach a specific course. Examples might include a licensure, certification, specialty coursework, etc. specific to the single course.Professional Certification: A certificate by an external state, regional, national, or international agency that attests to significant breadth and depth of knowledge within a field of study.

Program Description:

This course covers Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) equipment and products used to produce grooves and fillet welds. Provides extensive practice to develop the skills to achieve satisfactory welds in all positions, using self-shielding and gas-shielded electrode wires. Provides the opportunity to achieve AWS qualification or certification. Safety hazards and safe practices in FCAW are emphasized. Students are required to demonstrate course objectives through the appropriate American Welding Society (AWS) Structural Qualification: CERTIFICATION: AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification in the 3 and 4G positions (Vertical Up and Overhead) with Flux Core
