Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1.    Read and interpret Welding Procedure Documentation (WPS) as it relates to TIG welding.
2.    Explain the difference between destructive and non-destructive weld tests.
3.    Prepare the welder's qualifications test plate coupons according to the applicable test code.
4.    Perform the welder performance qualification test. 
5.    Identify weld defects and discontinuities found in weldments.
6.    Interpret fillet weld sizes with a fillet weld gauge.
