Description

A qualified faculty member in Supply Chain Management/Logistics meets the program standard through one of four routes:

Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in logistics, supply chain management, or a logistics-supply chain-related field as appropriate to the program; or

Possesses an earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in logistics, supply chain management, or a logistics-supply chain-related field as appropriate to the program; or

Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:

  • a. Professional certification (national, regional or state)
  • b. Two years of in-field professional employment
  • c. Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award
  • d. Documentation of research and publication in the field
  • e. Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military; or

Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in logistics, supply chain management, or a logistics-supply chain-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:

  • a. Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the field
  • b. Two years of in-field professional employment
  • c. Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award
  • d. Documentation of research and publication in the field
  • e. Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.

Ivy Tech's Supply Chain Management — Department of Defense Military Certificate (CT) offers specialized education and training on military logistics. This program, unique to the Midwest, focuses on transferrable skills related to:

  • Data visualization and analysis
  • Informatics
  • Project management
  • Procurement
  • Supply chain management
  • Appropriations law and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPB&E) process
  • Government purchasing
  • Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RM&A) in logistics

Ivy Tech does not have a deadline for admission. Our 8-week class sessions start throughout the year—in January, March, June, August, and October—and there is no hard deadline for applying for any of the start dates. It's important, though, to apply early enough that you'll be able to complete all the degree planning, financial aid, and registration activities that need to happen before your first day.
