Supply Chain Management/Logistics Program Standard:A qualified faculty member in Supply Chain Management/Logistics meets the program standard through one of four routes:3. Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in logistics, supply chain management, or a logistics-supply chain-related field as appropriate to the program; or4. Possesses an earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in logistics, supply chain management, or a logistics-supply chain-related field as appropriate to the program; or5. Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:a. Professional certification (national, regional or state)b. Two years of in-field professional employmentc. Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of awardd. Documentation of research and publication in the fielde. Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military; or6. Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in logistics, supply chain management, or a logistics-supply chain-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:a. Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the fieldb. Two years of in-field professional employmentc. Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of awardd. Documentation of research and publication in the fielde. Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.LOGM 100 Course Standard: (Effective February, 2019)A qualified faculty member teaching LOGM 100 meets the course standards through one of two routes:1. Meets the Supply Chain Management Program Standard, or2. Possesses an active Commercial Driver’s License with a minimum of two years commercial driving experience.LOGM 102, 102, and 104 Course Standard: (Effective February, 2019)A qualified faculty member teaching LOGM 102, 103, or 104 meets the course standard through the following route:Possesses an active Commercial Driver’s License with a minimum of two years commercial driving experience.

The Supply Chain Management / Logistics program addresses the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, supply / demand analysis, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption. The supply chain management / logistics field uses high technology and information systems to track goods and increase efficiencies. There are many opportunities for careers in supply chain management, distribution systems, intermodal transportation, and logistics. Short-term certificates are sequences of technical and professional courses that are industry focused and designed for workforce preparation. They provide access to targeted, short-term training in a discipline, and completers may sit for specific certification exams. Courses in certificate programs also apply toward technical certificates and associate degree programs in the subject area. This program is accredited by HLC and ACBSP.
