Examples might include a licensure, certification, specialty coursework, etc. specific to the single course.Professional Certification: A certificate by an external state, regional, national, or international agency that attests to significant breadth and depth of knowledge within a field of study.

This course provides 100 hours of hands-on welding preparation training in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). The course focuses on safety, how to achieve a good, solid weld with joint preparation and proper machine set up. At the conclusion of the course, you will have the opportunity to take the American Welding Society SMAW certification. PLEASE NOTE: This program can be run at 4- or 5-hour classes, run at 10 weeks or 13 weeks in length. It does not change the 100 instructional hours.
