5 years industry specific experience, Associates degree (School of Technology)Course Credential Standard: Credentials other than the program/discipline standard that may appropriately qualify one to teach a specific course. Program Description:

This course provides 100 hours of hands-on welding preparation training in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). The course focuses on safety, how to achieve a good, solid weld with joint preparation and proper machine set up. At the conclusion of the course, you will have the opportunity to take the American Welding Society SMAW certification. PLEASE NOTE: This program can be run at 4- or 5-hour classes, run at 10 weeks or 13 weeks in length. It does not change the 100 instructional hours. This would be for the Princeton and Tell City locations. (8/31/2020)
