Early Childhood Education Program Standard:A qualified faculty member in early childhood education meets the program standard through:1. Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in early childhood education, child development; or2. Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate credit hours in courses closely related to early childhood education and development, with academic preparation appropriate to the course and /or specialty being taught; and3. Possesses one of the following:a) Professional certification in the field; orb) Two years of directly related work experience in the field of early childhood - birth through age 8.ECED 105 Course StandardA qualified faculty member teaching ECED 105 meets the Early Childhood Education (ECED) program standard and holds a CDA Professional Development Specialist credential

Short-term certificates are sequences of technical and professional courses that are industry focused and designed for workforce preparation. They provide access to targeted, short-term training in a discipline, and completers may sit for specific certification exams. Courses in certificate programs also apply toward technical certificates and associate degree programs in the subject area. The Early Childhood Administration Certificate provides the credential that early childhood administrators need to support early learning programs that provide rich learning environments for our youngest citizens to learn and grow. Based on national standards, this certificate meets the criteria identified by the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children (IAEYC) necessary to administer, manage and effectively lead Early Childhood programs.Displayed pricing is based on full-time enrollment.
